MLSN and lawns
I’ve been in a long and intermittent conversation with The Grass Factor team about a guest appearance on their show.1 It’s gone something like they invite me, I can’t due to schedule, then six months later they ask again, and I’ll be off on a long trip again, and I ask them to contact me again some months later. And on and on.
We finally worked out our schedules and recorded a show, and you can watch it here.
A common thread through the show was MLSN. Matt asked me to describe MLSN in an applied science kind of way, and to state where I think MLSN is applicable to lawn care. My answer to that is at 33:20, here.
If you find that answer interesting, or useful, then you may enjoy the entire video. We had a good discussion that ranged from creativity to leaf nutrient content, university program funding to whether lawns tend to have compaction problems, a time in my life I look back upon with embarrassment, the research I enjoy the most, and more.
From the YouTube channel page: The Grass Factor explores the science behind why we do what we do in lawn care. We discuss the chemical and biological properties of plants, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and biostimulants and their use in functional, high performance turfgrass situations. ↩︎
